Welcome to Staple Parish Council's web site.

Staple Parish Council meets regularly on the 2nd Wednesday of each month (except August).

It is the local authority that makes decisions on behalf of the people in the parish of Staple, and has an overall responsibility for the well-being of its local community.

One such responsibility being the overseeing all local planning applications.

It is the level of government closest to the community, with the district authority above it in the hierarchy.

Staple is a village and civil parish in East Kent, England.

The village lies southwest of the nearby village of Ash and the town of Sandwich, and east of Canterbury.

Staple parish comprises the village itself, the hamlet of Barnsole, part of the hamlet of Summerfield and   the hamlet of Shatterling.   The latter lies to the North of the village (near the main Ash to Wingham road) and is only accessible within the parish boundaries by footpath.
